Eligibility for Admission

Punjab State Open School (PBSOS) provides flexible learning opportunities for students through Open & Distance Learning mode. Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for admission.

For Secondary (Matriculation / 10th)

• Minimum age should be 14 years or above
• Student should have passed Class 8th or equivalent
• Self-study learners, school dropouts, working candidates are eligible
• No upper age limit for admission

For Senior Secondary (12th)

• Minimum age should be 16 years or above
• Must have passed Secondary (10th / Matriculation) or equivalent
• Gap year candidates are eligible
• Working professionals and private candidates can apply

Additional Guidelines

• Admission is open throughout the year (as per session guidelines)
• Documents submitted must be genuine and verifiable
• Admission is subject to document verification by the board
